Job summary

Cadent seeks a Lead Data Scientist to shape data science strategy, guide a team, and deliver ML products across business units. You will apply scientific methods to identify optimization opportunities and translate data into actionable business insights.

Collaborate with Business, Product, Data Engineering, DevOps and QA to productionize AI/ML research and drive growth. Ideal candidates have 6+ years in data science, strong Python and ML framework experience, plus hands-on work with LLMs, RAG,

Qualifications

• MS or higher in CS/Math/OR with ML focus or 6-7 years in DS/ML role.
• 6+ years of data science and ML hands-on experience.
• Experience with LLMs including RAG, fine-tuning and evaluation.
• Strong Python coding skills and familiarity with open-source ML frameworks.
• Experience reading from relational databases and cloud ecosystems (AWS, GCP).
• Experience deploying models to production with governance.

Responsibilities

• Shape data science strategy and lead a team of data scientists.
• Deliver ML products and translate data into business actions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Eng, DevOps, QA.
• Develop prototypes and production-grade ML builds.
• Communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
