Job summary

FIS is seeking a data scientist to join the Data Science team in Atlanta, GA. The role focuses on deploying data-driven analyses and predictive models to solve problems in Risk, Fraud, Marketing, and Portfolio Management within the financial services sector.

You will design end-to-end analytics solutions, leverage data structures, and apply NLP and GenAI techniques to translate results into actionable product recommendations for internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Mathematics, CS, Engineering, OR a quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience building and deploying end-to-end ML and data science solutions in payments/financial services.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency; experience with Spark/PySpark is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, deployment, and monitoring of advanced analytics and AI solutions.
• Prepare data from diverse sources and build end-to-end analytical workflows.
• Apply ML, NLP, GenAI techniques to business problems in payments/financial services.
• Design experiments and statistical analyses to assess strategies and enhancements.
• Promote best practices in data science, ML, MLOps, and governance.
