Job summary

Purchasing Power, a PROG Holdings company, is hiring a Data Scientist for a hybrid role in Atlanta. You will build and refine predictive models, explore diverse data sources, and design experiments to drive data-driven decisions in fintech.

You will work with R, Python, and SQL to deliver measurable business impact, develop AI-enabled solutions, and collaborate with teammates to advance analytics across the organization.

Qualifications

• Master's or higher in a quantitative field (Math/Stats/CS/Eng)
• 2 years of experience in data science or analytics roles
• Experience with R, Python, machine learning tools, and SQL
• Evidence of applying advanced models to real-world problems
• Ability to craft rigorous research/evaluation designs

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and improve decision systems and predictive models
• Explore new data sources to improve model performance
• Design, implement, and test in-market experiments and algorithms
• Prototype solutions using cutting-edge technologies
• Use AI-enabled tools throughout workflows and processes
• Recommend and support strategic changes through analytics and problem solving
• Identify, evaluate, and implement advanced analytics methods
• Be part of a collegial data science team
