Job summary

RB Global Inc. seeks a Lead Data Scientist to advance analytics and data science across the organization. You will hire and manage a team of data scientists delivering scalable ML and analytics solutions, collaborating with IT, executive, and product teams to integrate enterprise-scale outcomes.

You will work with business stakeholders to ideate and prioritize initiatives, and you will communicate methods and impact clearly to drive data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• 10 years of demonstrated business impact through the conception, delivery, and scaling of machine learning and other analytic approaches.
• 2+ years managing and mentoring other data scientists and analysts.
• 2 years of consulting or leadership experience as a data scientist.
• Excellent verbal and written skills in English.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience working on an Agile development team.

Responsibilities

• Leverage data science, data engineering and statistics best practices to develop applicable solutions.
• Complete advanced analysis of customer and business data.
• Nurture solutions through problem, ideation, data sourcing, experimentation, development, deployment, and monitoring.
• Mentor data scientists with technical oversight to foster learning and quality.
• Team management and oversight.
• Model development, deployment and evaluation.
• Meet with and advise stakeholders.
• Solve operational challenges with business units.
• Source, clean and understand data with the data management group.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
