Job summary

Mastercard Foundry in Dublin TechHub is seeking a Lead Data Scientist to advance AI, ML, DL, and NLP solutions across cross‑functional teams. You will shape prototypes, POCs, and product capabilities, mentor juniors, and help publish research and patents.

You will work with Python, ML frameworks, LLMs, SQL, and cloud platforms, collaborating with teams worldwide to launch innovative AI‑driven payments and commerce concepts.

Qualifications

• Strong background in Python and data science tooling; ML/DL/NLP fundamentals.
• Experience with large language models and AI frameworks for POCs and products.
• Ability to design AI architectures and data pipelines with scalable solutions.

Responsibilities

• Analyse, design, and develop AI solutions using ML/DL/NLP per use case.
• Research new AI frameworks and apply to prototypes and products.
• Utilize LLMs to build AI-based solutions for relevant use cases.
• Contribute requirements for new applications while adhering to standards.
• Coach and develop junior engineers; support cross-functional teams.
• Engage in public speaking and communications on domain directions.
• Collaborate with global teams on new product ideas and RD initiatives.
• Publish research and file IDs and patents for AI concepts.
• Identify opportunities to leverage AI as a key enabler.
