Job summary

New Meridian Corporation is seeking a Principal Data Analyst to support psychometrics, research, and assessment design. The role involves statistical programming, data management, and collaboration with the Director of Psychometrics and Research Services.

The candidate will contribute to analysis plans, data interpretation, and process improvements while supporting K-12 assessment initiatives. Remote work is possible; Austin, TX office options exist with occasional travel.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or equivalent in Educational Measurement, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology or closely related field.
• Six+ years of experience in managing and coordinating statistical analysis and data processing operations.
• Experience with SAS, R, or Python for data analysis.
• Advanced Word proficiency to create, format, or merge memos and reports.
• Advanced Excel for data entry, formulas, data organization, and analysis.
• Experience with Shiny R, Power BI, Tableau or similar data visualization tools.
• Position can be performed remotely or in Austin, TX; travel <=25%.

Responsibilities

• Performs statistical analysis and data processing tasks with applied statistics and measurement concepts.
• Prepares schedules and task lists; performs quality control on statistical information and reports.
• Designs, codes, tests, and debugs programs and databases across complexity levels.
• Develops tables and text for program publications, score reports and documents.
• Contributes to long-range goals and plans for programs including staffing and technology needs.
• Train staff in psychometric and statistical software; respond to data requests and interpretations.
