Job summary

The Division of Information Technology invites qualified applicants for the position of Supervisor of Data Processing Systems & Programming. Under supervision, you will oversee systems analysis, design, development and operation of computer programs.

Requirements include extensive professional experience and a bachelor’s degree with supervisory background; civil service exam will determine permanent status. Reports to the Department Head with a salary range of $104,004–$121,449 per year.

Qualifications

• Nine years of professional experience in design, installation and operation of computer programs, two in a supervisory role.
• Or a bachelor's degree plus five years of professional experience, two in supervision.
• Knowledge of data processing systems, programming, and systems analysis.

Responsibilities

• Supervises systems analysis and programming staff.
• Designs flow-charts and develops programming procedures to increase efficiency.
• Plans and supervises work activities of staff and sets standards.
• Writes and corrects complex programs and reviews adherence to policy and standards.
• Prepares accurate reports and maintains records.
