Job summary

Blattner Company is building a Modern Data Platform on Microsoft Fabric to support data needs across Wind, Solar, Battery, Data Center, and Gas units. The Principal Data Engineer will own the platform architecture, set engineering standards, and mentor the data team as the platform scales.

You will design, implement, and govern a Bronze/Silver/Gold medallion data lakehouse, integrating ERP, HRIS, and CRM data while staying ahead with modern data tools and best practices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of hands-on data engineering experience.
• Deep expertise in Microsoft Fabric – Lakehouse, Pipelines, Dataflows Gen2, Eventstream, KQL, Notebooks, Semantic Models, Purview.
• Experience integrating enterprise source systems (ERP, HRIS, CRM) into a centralized data platform.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture of Blattner’s Data Platform on Microsoft Fabric.
• Mentor data development team through code reviews and pair programming.
• Build data pipelines across 30+ source systems (e.g., JDE EnterpriseOne, Workday, Salesforce).
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend adoption to leadership.
