Job summary

The Ohio State University seeks a Solutions Architect to lead enterprise data and analytics architecture across health system shared services. You will define target-state architectures, standards, and guardrails for secure, scalable data platforms supporting analytics, reporting, and AI/ML use cases.

You will partner with clinical leaders, analytics teams, data governance, and platform teams to translate business requirements into sustainable architecture, establishing reusable reference

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of relevant experience; 8–12 years preferred in data architecture, data engineering, warehousing, analytics engineering, or modern data platform design.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise architecture and standards for data ingestion and integration (ETL/ELT).
• Evolve lakehouse architecture using Azure services and Databricks including Delta Lake patterns.
• Establish medallion architecture and data product design across ingestion, standardization, and downstream consumption.
• Define enterprise data modeling, transformation standards, and semantic layers (dbt, star schemas).
• Establish data quality, observability, and governance including SLAs/SLOs and lineage.
