Job summary

Mitra Innovation seeks an experienced Lead/Principal Data Engineer to own end‑to‑end data modernization for multiple clients in the USA. You will design, implement, test, and deploy scalable Snowflake/dbt pipelines, delivering high‑quality data solutions with minimal supervision.

You will mentor engineers, perform reviews, and drive architectural decisions while ensuring performance and reliability across complex data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on Snowflake experience in production data environments.
• 5+ years hands-on dbt, with large-scale production projects.
• Expert SQL skills: complex joins, CTEs, window functions, analytics.
• Experience with dimensional/relational data modeling and ETL/ELT.
• Strong Git/GitHub-based development and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data transformation pipelines on Snowflake/dbt.
• Develop advanced dbt models, macros, and modular architectures.
• Build data models across staging to reporting layers and support multi-client needs.
• Lead technical direction, code reviews, and mentoring within offshore teams.
• Ensure code quality, testing, documentation, and production readiness.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and optimise Snowflake SQL transformations.
