Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to guide data engineering activities on mission-driven projects. You will oversee the design, build, and maintenance of scalable data pipelines and platforms, mentoring analysts, engineers, and data consumers in a fast-paced, agile environment.

The role requires leading complex data applications at scale, strong communication with executives, and a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience leading software application development in an enterprise environment.
• 7+ years of experience designing, developing, operationalizing, and maintaining complex, distributed data applications at scale.
• 5+ years of experience retrieving, parsing, and processing structured and unstructured data.
• 5+ years of experience developing scalable ETL pipelines or workflows for analytics or reporting.
• Experience establishing, documenting, and maintaining clear development priorities and execution plans, ensuring teams understand sequencing, dependencies, critical-path activities, trade-offs, and changes in priorities.
• Ability to supervise technical staff, such as technical leads, engineers, and testers, and lead projects in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Ability to translate and brief technical information, priorities, risks, dependencies, and critical-path impacts to larger client, executive, and stakeholder audiences.
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.
• Bachelor's degree.
• Ability to obtain Security+ CE, SSCP, CCNA-Security, or GSEC Certification within 6 months of hire.
