Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to oversee enterprise data lifecycle processes, build scalable pipelines, and deliver dashboards for actionable insights using Palantir Foundry. The role focuses on data platform design, governance, and ontology management within the Unified Data Layer.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, maintain data standards, and ensure data access for decision-makers across the organization in a fast-paced defense tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree with Palantir experience (9+ years) or Graduate Degree with Palantir experience (7+ years); alternative: 13+ years Palantir experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum 4 years in Data Pipeline development or ETL tools (Palantir Foundry, Azure Data Factory, SSIS, or Python).
• Minimum 4 years in Data Integration.

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural oversight for the data platform and initiatives.
• Assist design reviews and guidance on architecture and data modeling.
• Lead design reviews for data sourcing, pipelines, models and ontology resources.
• Develop architectural artifacts and SDLC documentation.
• Participate in data architecture reviews for compliance with standards.
• Oversee data pipelines for scalability, reusability, and performance.
• Use Palantir Foundry for data integration and ontology management.
• Collaborate on data governance, metadata, and ontology standards.
• Stay current with emerging data technologies to improve architecture.
