Job summary

Aker Systems is seeking an experienced and hands-on Lead Data Engineer to design, build and evolve secure, scalable data platforms for clients across the UK Public Sector and Utilities sectors.

You will lead the development of batch and real-time data pipelines, working with architects, engineers and client stakeholders to deliver cloud-based data solutions that support operational, analytical and AI-driven use cases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering or related field.
• Strong experience with real-time streaming and data pipelines.
• Proven ability to design secure, scalable cloud data platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and deployment of secure, scalable data pipelines.
• Develop batch and real-time streaming solutions.
• Mentor engineers and lead workshops with stakeholders.
• Ensure data quality, governance and security across platforms.
• Drive CI/CD and IaC practices across delivery teams.
