Job summary

Verisma is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to advance healthcare interoperability. You will design, build, and maintain Azure-based data infrastructure, including pipelines, analytics, and BI, with a focus on EHR integration using FHIR, C-CDA, and HL7.

You will guide a technical team, ensure HIPAA/HITRUST compliance, and collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions, while mentoring engineers and driving data quality and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent work experience.
• 8+ years of data engineering experience.
• Expert in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Experience with Azure data services and data governance.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement scalable data architectures on Azure for BI and analytics.
• Build and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Synapse.
• Ensure HIPAA/HITRUST compliance for PHI data throughout platforms.
• Lead data engineering efforts and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into tech solutions.
