Job summary

BLEND360 is seeking a Lead Data Engineer to modernize data ingestion and semantic layers on Google Cloud Platform, enabling enterprise analytics across healthcare. You will design scalable pipelines, lead automation across ingestion and orchestration, and mentor engineers in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 7+ years of data engineering, strong GCP skills (BigQuery, Cloud Storage), and experience delivering enterprise-scale cloud data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering or cloud data platforms.
• Hands-on design and delivery of scalable data ingestion and pipelines.
• Experience with semantic layers, dimensional modeling, and cloud-native tech.
• Strong SQL and Python development skills; able to lead technical workstreams.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines for analytics in healthcare.
• Lead automation across ingestion, transformation, and orchestration workflows.
• Develop ingestion frameworks for structured and semi-structured data sources.
• Expand semantic data layers in GCP/BigQuery for trusted reporting.
• Design ELT/ETL pipelines using modern cloud-native patterns.
• Collaborate with architects, analytics teams, and stakeholders to translate data needs.
• Optimize BigQuery performance, cost, and partitioning.
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership across teams.
• Support data governance, quality, and metadata initiatives.
