The Hartford Financial Services Group is seeking a highly creative and passionate Lead Data Engineer with experience working in a dynamic and broadly defined role. The candidate will join our growing community supporting health services. The main responsibility of this role is to manage our joint customer connection application which leverages entity resolution to discover cross-sell opportunities across group benefits and P&C. We are looking for an independent technical leader who will partner closely with business leaders and expert resources to design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL processes. This role also includes ad-hoc analysis providing data and insights to estimate the value of potential strategies. This candidate will bring with them a creative solution design approach to data exploration and discovery and the ability to work in an iterative, collaborative way to balance the solution with the technical outcome. We seek candidates with a strong understanding of data architecture and data warehousing in cloud native environments, coupled with strong analytical, communication, interpersonal, and business skills. This role combines business and technical skills involving interaction with business customers, internal and external data suppliers within our enterprise data services team and Information Technology partners. Leadership skills and the ability to work independently are required.
This role will have a Hybrid work arrangement, with the expectation of working in an office location (Hartford, CT; Chicago, IL; Columbus, OH; and Charlotte, NC) 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).
Responsibilities:
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is: $113,360 - $170,040.
