Job summary

FlightSafety International seeks a seasoned technologist to lead data engineering, analytics, and reporting initiatives. You will guide a team delivering enterprise data warehouse components, data integration, and BI solutions, working with stakeholders across IT and business units.

You will mentor engineers, set coding and deployment standards, and ensure quality and timely delivery of data products to support decision-making in aviation training environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent industry experience.
• 10+ years of software development experience.
• 5+ years in enterprise ETL, analytics & reporting (SSIS/SSAS/SSRS).
• 2+ years Databricks and Unity Catalog experience (certified preferred).
• 2+ years Python development.
• 5+ years of RDBMS design and development with SQL expertise.
• 3+ years Azure with ADLS & Data Factory and automation.
• Experience with Data Vault 2.0 modeling (certification preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction and oversight to a team of data engineers and developers.
• Set standards for data engineering practices, code quality, and documentation.
• Mentor and coach junior and mid-level engineers; lead code and design reviews.
• Partner with stakeholders to design enterprise data warehouse components.
• Develop and validate data integration and transformation solutions.
• Oversee deployment of data components with CI/CD and SDLC adherence.
• Troubleshoot data and process issues; ensure production readiness.
• Collaborate with QA and dev teams for testing and quality improvements.
