Job description:

  • As a Lead Data Engineer and dbt Champion, you are responsible for creating, developing and supporting their Competence Center around dbt. You will guide, coach and provide technical leadership to Data Engineers in the use of dbt.
  • You will also actively participate in customer projects as a Lead Data Engineer, implementing and integrating dbt into their data projects.
  • You will develop documentation, manuals and training materials for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • You share your expertise and best practices, ensuring that their team can make optimal use of dbt for data transformation and modeling.
  • Together with your team, you ensure the successful delivery of projects, meeting quality, timing and budget requirements.
  • You will always stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments within the dbt community and you will be responsible for sharing this knowledge.

Requirements:

  • You are very enthusiastic about data & cloud services.
  • You preferably have a relevant bachelor or master degree (Computer Science, Business Engineering, …)
  • You have extensive hands-on experience as a Data Engineer and/or Data Architect in the Modern Data Stack.
  • You already worked with cloud platforms such as Fabric, Snowflake and Databricks.
  • You have advanced knowledge of SQL.
  • You have experience with data integration and ETL tools.
  • You have strong communication skills and enjoy working in a team.
  • You are very customer oriented and you are strong in explaining complex concepts easily to various audiences
  • You have a passion for knowledge sharing and team development. You feel comfortable in a lead position and you know how to motivate and coach your team members.
  • You are fluent in English.
