Job summary

INSPYR Solutions in Spring, TX is seeking a highly motivated Lead Data Engineer to own data architecture and enterprise platforms, while remaining hands-on in the development of Databricks-based pipelines.

The candidate will lead design, modeling, ETL/ELT, and data quality, mentor engineers, and collaborate with product, QA, and analytics to deliver trusted analytics-ready data products at scale.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering.
• 5+ years with Databricks and enterprise data platforms.
• Experience leading solution architecture, estimations, and mentoring teams.
• Expertise in Databricks, Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables, and DBT.
• Strong SQL and PySpark development skills.
• Experience with dimensional and semantic data modeling.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end technical data engineering for enterprise platforms.
• Lead design, implementation, and delivery planning; provide estimates.
• Mentor data engineers and enforce engineering best practices.
• Design scalable data models and optimize Delta tables for reporting.
• Build modular Databricks pipelines and implement CI/CD with Git/Azure DevOps.
• Collaborate with QA, product, and analytics stakeholders to ensure data quality.
