Job summary

JPMorganChase in Plano, TX seeks a Lead Software Engineer within the Commercial & Investment Bank's Global Banking Sales Enablement team. You will contribute as a core technical leader building scalable data products, leveraging Databricks and enterprise data platforms to support trusted analytical and AI-driven use cases.

You will mentor engineers, drive advanced SDLC practices, ensure security and reliability, and partner with architects, product teams, and data producers to translate business

Qualifications

• 10+ years software and/or data engineering experience in enterprise-scale solutions.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages.
• Experience leading use of AI-assisted development tools with code validation for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows and secure delivery practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of scalable, reliable, and reusable enterprise data products.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across solution design, implementation, code reviews, troubleshooting, and production readiness
• Drives team adoption of enterprise‑authorized AI‑assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes, with standardized validation.
• Applies knowledge of SDLC tools, including AI-assisted development, to improve automation value.
• Establish and promote effective Data Engineering patterns and standards across the team.
• Design solutions that support analytical, operational, reporting, and AI-driven use cases.
• Drive data quality, reliability, observability, governance, performance, and scalability across data products.
• Partner with architects, product teams, engineers, and data producers/consumers to translate business needs into sustainable data solutions.
• Mentor engineers and help build strong Data Engineering capability within the team.
• Identify opportunities to simplify platforms, improve engineering productivity, and increase reuse.
