Job summary

Vuori is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to design, build, and scale data pipelines that feed analytics across the platform. You’ll own end-to-end ingestion, staging, and serving layers and set technical direction for the data infrastructure.

Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and product teams to define patterns for REST APIs, flat files, JSON/XML, and SFTP drops; implement robust ingestion, testing, and schema enforcement; and contribute to CI/CD via Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or a senior/lead role.
• Strong SQL and programming in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses and semi-structured data.
• Ability to design robust, scalable data pipelines.
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end data pipeline design from ingestion to serving.
• Implement and maintain reliable data ingestion patterns across sources.
• Mentor other data engineers and set coding standards.
• Ensure data quality through validation and testing.
• Contribute to CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code practices.
