Akkodis is seeking a Lead Data Engineer job with a client in Plymouth NH. Must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field to be considered. You will help build a modern data stack from the ground up for a new product, and help architect, implement, and scale this ecosystem. You will play a foundational role in shaping our data engineering practices, tooling, and infrastructure while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and analytics partners. This is a rare opportunity to influence the entire data platform from day one—designing how data flows into the organization, how it’s processed, and how it enables insights across the business.
Salary Range: $140/year to $165/year; The salary may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
- Design and implement a modern, scalable, cloud‑based data stack for a new product.
- Design and build a scalable, cloud‑based data platform centered around Snowflake as our primary data warehouse.
- Stand up streaming event collectors and real‑time ingestion pipelines feeding into Snowflake.
- Optimize Snowflake performance, storage, compute usage, and cost efficiency.
- Stand up streaming event collectors and real‑time data ingestion pipelines.
- Build robust, automated data workflows using tools such as Apache Airflow.
- Establish best‑in‑class data modeling, transformation, and governance practices.
- Build and support internal dashboards and reporting infrastructure leveraging Snowflake as the source of truth.
- Partner with stakeholders to understand data needs and translate them into scalable engineering solutions.

- Mentor and guide junior and senior data engineers.
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is required.
- Minimum Eight years’ related experience
- Extensive experience designing and building modern data pipelines and platforms.
- Strong hands‑on expertise with Snowflake, including warehouse configuration, optimization, data sharing, and security features.
- Deep knowledge of cloud environments (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Strong proficiency with Apache Airflow or similar orchestration tools.
- Experience with streaming/event‑driven architectures (e.g., Kafka, Kinesis, Pub/Sub).
- Expertise in Python, SQL, and data modeling best practices.
- Experience integrating product analytics tools and dashboarding solutions.
- A solid track record of technical leadership and mentorship.
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced, environment where you help shape the direction.
