Job summary

Photon is seeking a Technical Lead - Data Engineering in Las Vegas, onsite. The role leads a team of 5-6 engineers, builds scalable data pipelines with Airflow, and applies real-time streaming with Kafka/Spark.

The ideal candidate brings 7–8+ years in data engineering, strong SQL, and hands-on leadership. You will shape architecture and mentor engineers in an Agile environment, delivering high-quality, scalable solutions.

Qualifications

• 7-8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or related fields.
• Strong proficiency in Apache Airflow, Apache Kafka, Spark Streaming, and SQL.
• Experience leading technical teams (3+ years preferred).
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Position Overview

• We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead to drive our data engineering initiatives and lead a team of 5-6 engineers.
• This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise and leadership capabilities.

• Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Airflow (experience with Airflow 3 is preferred).
• Understanding of Snowflake architecture.
