Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Reliability Engineer to proactively drive reliability risk identification and mitigation for datacenter infrastructure equipment. You will perform root cause analysis of critical failures, lead corrective actions, and collaborate with suppliers and internal teams to improve datacenter availability.

Travel within the US and internationally is expected. A strong background in data center design/operations and extensive reliability engineering experience

Qualifications

• 6+ years of data center design, construction, operations, or facility maintenance experience.
• 6+ years of industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities including but not limited to: data centers, power generation or oil and gas facilities experience
• Experience in root cause analysis and troubleshooting or problem solving
• 10+ years of Reliability Engineering work experience in high reliability industry
• 3+ years of experience with accelerated life testing, stress analysis and finite element analysis
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Responsibilities

• Drive reliability risk identification, assessment and mitigation for datacenter infrastructure equipment (example: LV Generator, MV Transformers, LV SWGR, Breakers, UPS, HV Transformers).
• Lead root cause analysis of critical equipment failures and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate vendor auditing and quarterly reviews to improve datacenter availability.
• Develop datacenter system level reliability models and related risk analysis.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on specifications, risk plans and execution.
