The role focuses on preparing cost estimates for large-scale electrical construction projects from $20M to $100M, using plans and specs and company estimating guidelines. You will lead the proposal process, write comprehensive proposals, coordinate the estimating team, negotiate with vendors, and ensure accuracy and completeness before

Qualifications

• 8+ years' experience in estimating or cost control and/or engineering experience in the commercial or industrial electrical construction industry.
• Data Center and Accubid experience.
• Strong leadership ability.
• Design-build quality project experience preferred.
• Hyperscale data center experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills (Excel) and knowledge/experience with project management software and construction estimating software.
• Ability to interpret computerized cost data and reading blueprints.
• Ability to understand cost and schedule impacts on projects.
• Working knowledge of commercial or industrial building codes and related systems/controls.
• Strong math, reading, organizational, and analytical/critical thinking skills.
• Ability to work effectively as estimating team member and mentor.
• Excellent interpersonal relationship and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Prepares cost estimates for electrical construction projects from $20M-$100M using plans and specifications per guidelines.
• Writes proposals that accurately capture the scope and costs.
• Leads the Proposal Review Process to ensure documentation is complete before release.
• Front-line contact on estimating efforts and developing new customers.
• Leads estimators and preconstruction team in development of estimates and proposals.
• Develops and implements estimating standards and best practices.
• Completes estimates for plans & specs, design-build, design assist, through early budgets.
• Coordinates total estimating effort for bids/projects as assigned.
• Negotiates with vendors to ensure quality and lowest cost on bid items.
• Supports other departments with estimates and change-order costs.
