Job summary

Jobtailor in Austin, TX is seeking an experienced Lead Commissioning Engineer for hyperscale electrical installations. You will own pre‑commissioning through Level 5 commissioning for HV, MV, LV systems, coordinating generators, switchgear, transformers, UPS, ATS/STS, PDUs and grounding across multiple sites.

You will review Testing & Verification programs, lead the owner’s commissioning for electrical scope, and ensure handover packages read as decision‑ready.

Qualifications

• Commission HV/MV/LV electrical systems in hyperscale or mission‑critical data centers.
• End‑to‑end commissioning from factory tests through field integration.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve startup issues under time pressure.
• Coordinate general contractors, designers and vendors across concurrent live projects.
• Maintain test results, punch lists and commissioning reports as you go.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre‑commissioning through Level 5 commissioning for electrical systems across sites.
• Review and develop Testing & Verification programs with teams.
• Act as commissioning lead coordinating GC, designers and vendors.
• Run site commissioning end to end: inspections, safety, progress tracking and issue resolution.
• Lead final handover with test records and documentation ready for live service.
