Job summary

Texas A&M University - Texarkana is seeking a Lead Data Architect to design and optimize data architecture and reporting processes. You will extract, prep, and visualize data for executive stakeholders, manage reporting for State and Federal agencies, and guide a team responsible for data systems and dashboards.

The role requires expertise in SQL, data visualization, and BI tools (Power BI, Business Objects) and offers on-site work in Texarkana with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Six years of related experience.
• Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.
• Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Maintains current knowledge of State and Federal reporting requirements.
• Preferred qualifications include a Master’s degree and experience with BI tools.

Responsibilities

• Develops, manages, and coordinates Institutional Research operations.
• Collaborates to compile, analyze, and report institutional data including enrollments and achievements.
• Ensures timely reporting to meet Federal, State, System, and University requirements.
• Oversees online databases and archival information for reporting.
• Develops data access tools for internal decision making.
• Supervises department staff and oversees budgeting.
