Job summary

The Senior Data Architect, Research Analytics at MUSC will lead the design and long-term sustainability of an enterprise research data repository. You will collaborate with IS and research leadership to enable comprehensive reporting across financial performance, awards, and study metrics.

You will guide data modeling standards, data quality, and metadata management, ensuring scalable and auditable research metrics for internal and external reporting.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or a related field and four years’ experience in systems development and maintenance.
• Related experience may be substituted for the bachelor's degree on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Architect and maintain a centralized research data repository integrating multiple source systems.
• Lead data integration pipelines (ETL/ELT) across diverse systems and ensure data quality.
• Translate business needs into data models and analytics for research metrics and reporting.
• Collaborate with IS Data teams, research leadership, finance, and compliance.
• Oversee data governance, security, and access controls in alignment with policies.
