A leading company in the financial sector seeks a Senior MS SQL Server Developer/Architect to build risk applications for a top-tier hedge fund. You will be responsible for data modeling and overseeing migrations from SQL Server to Azure, utilizing extensive experience in data architectures and ETL processes. This position requires a deep understanding of database design and the ability to ensure data quality and integrity while collaborating in an agile development environment.

Qualifications

• 10+ years' experience in database design and PL/SQL development.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like SSIS, ADF or similar.
• Experience in migrating SQL Server to Fabric/Azure required.

Building a risk applications and tools for innovative international top-tier hedge fund from the ground up, comprising the systems for traders, pre-trade checks and analysis, risks and limits management, reports of trading activities, FIX connectivity, market data providers connectivity (e.g. Bloomberg B-pipe), etc The Team is focused on the development and maintenance of various database applications supporting Risk Management. The successful candidate will have considerable and proven experience in database design, PL/SQL development, a good working knowledge of end-user and server-side data processing techniques, a good understanding of SDLC and agile development methodologies.

• Developing business friendly data models. Migration from SQL Server -> Fabric and/or Azure

SKILLS

Must have

• - Strong understanding of data modelling and data quality principles- Experience across data architecture and data warehousing techniques and practices is essential (experience migrating SQL to Fabric).- Proven experience in designing and developing data models using industry best practices- Experience in using code management and CI/CD tools such as Github, Azure Devops, Jenkins, Bamboo etc.- Senior (10+ years) MS SQL Server developer/architect.- Azure fabric serviсe experience- 10+ years of experience working with ETL tools such as SSIS, ADF or similar.- Good understanding and demonstrated experience working with Power Query (M query language) and DAX.- Management of Power BI datasets, workspaces and the associated security requirements. - Familiarity with Power BI Premium capabilities, Power BI Rest APIs, Python and Databricks will be highly regarded.- Extensive experience designing and developing reports and performance metrics from complex and disparate platforms

Nice to have

- Experience with Azure- Risks trading system development experience.- Business knowledge in trading domain / capital
