Job summary

Motion Recruitment Partners is seeking a Lead Data Architect to design and develop a modern, cloud-based data platform focused on Snowflake, data architecture, and data engineering.

The role involves shaping data strategy while remaining hands-on, modernizing legacy systems, mentoring a data engineering team, and collaborating with business and technology leaders to improve data accessibility, accuracy, and usefulness.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of experience in data architecture and data engineering, including technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in data modeling and enterprise data architecture.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake or similar cloud data warehouses.
• Advanced SQL skills and proficiency in Python.
• Experience developing and optimizing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Knowledge of data quality, metadata management, lineage, and governance.
• Experience mentoring engineers and communicating technical designs to senior leadership.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for a Lead Data Architect to lead the design and development of a modern, cloud-based data platform. This role focuses on Snowflake, data architecture, and data engineering, helping build reliable, scalable data solutions that support business operations, reporting, and advanced analytics.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience in the insurance industry.
• Snowflake certification.
• Familiarity with dbt, Airflow, Azure Data Factory, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of change data capture (CDC), event-driven architecture, APIs, and data orchestration.
• Experience with master data management (MDM), canonical data modeling, and Power BI or other BI tools.
