Job summary

SAIC seeks a Data Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME) Contractor Support Lead to provide advanced analytical expertise in support of government programs. This role serves as the primary contractor technical authority for data analysis, delivering actionable insights, developing frameworks, and advising on data strategy and best practices for government customers at all levels.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field (Master's degree preferred).
• Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in data analysis, data science, or a related analytical discipline, with at least 3–5 years in a contractor support role interfacing directly with government customers.
• Demonstrated subject matter expertise in advanced statistical analysis, data modeling, and quantitative methods.
• Proficiency in data analysis programming languages such as Python, R, SQL, or equivalent.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, matplotlib, or equivalent.
• Strong experience with relational and non-relational database management systems.
• Proven ability to manage and analyze large, complex, and multi-source datasets in a government program environment.
• Thorough understanding of government contracting processes, roles, responsibilities, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present complex findings to government senior leadership and non-technical audiences.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary contractor technical authority for all data analysis activities and report to government stakeholders.
• Provide regular status updates, analytical findings, and program reporting to government customers per contract requirements.
• Prepare and deliver formal briefings, technical reports, white papers, and data products to government stakeholders.
• Respond to information requests and ad hoc analytical tasking in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain professional communication with government counterparts while operating within contractor roles.
• Support government reviews, TIMs, milestone reviews, and data governance forums.
• Assist stakeholders in understanding analytical findings, data limitations, and recommendations.
