Our mission is simple: to deliver exceptional waste and recycling solutions to our customers and communities through a commitment to safety, service, the environment and the growth of our people.

When you join Rumpke, you'll be part of a team providing essential services to millions of residents, businesses, and neighborhoods. You will enjoy competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including health, dental, vision, matching 401(k), life insurance, paid vacation, and more.

As a member of the Data and Analytics team, the Lead Data & Analytics Product Manager partners directly with the business to ensure the team's data products and reporting deliver real business value. This role acts as the primary bridge between business stakeholders and the technical team - translating business needs into prioritized work, tracking progress in terms that the business understands, and continuously validating what gets built actually solves the right problems. This role also drives prioritization and scheduling of the cross-domain data governance program, in partnership with the Senior BI Analysts and the Analytics Engineering on technical implementation.

Responsibilities of Position

  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with stakeholders across all lines of business, serving as their advocate in planning and prioritization
  • Translate business priorities into clear, prioritized work for Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, and BI Analysts
  • Own prioritization and scheduling of the cross-domain data governance program, collaborating with the Senior BI Analysts - who own reporting governance and run stakeholder governance calls within their domains - to ensure consistency across domains, and with Analytics Engineering on technical implementation
  • Own and manage the team's backlog and sprint/PI planning process, ensuring work stays aligned to business priorities
  • Track and communicate progress against the data and analytics road map in terms the business understands
  • Develop and maintain personas for the business's key data consumers, understanding how each group currently accesses and uses data - including habits like building new reports from existing ones - to guide decisions on tooling, self-service, and AI-assisted access to our data products
  • Partner with team leadership to define success metrics and monitor adoption and business impact of new data products, self-service tools, and AI-assisted reporting - championing adoption across the business and gathering ongoing feedback to continuously refine priorities
  • Perform other duties as assigned
