Job summary

Archwest Capital is seeking a highly technical Principal Data & Analytics Engineer to architect and build the next generation of our enterprise data and analytics platform. This senior, hands-on contributor will design data architecture, deliver scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, and develop executive dashboards that drive strategic decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/IS/Data Eng/Analytics/Math or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Analytics Engineering, BI, or related.
• Expert-level SQL with relational DB design, optimization, and tuning.
• ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory or Snowflake.
• Experience designing data warehouses, semantic models, and scalable reporting architectures.
• Strong experience with Power BI or Tableau.
• Excellent communication to executive leadership.
• Experience integrating Salesforce and other platforms via APIs.
• Cloud-based data platforms in Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
• Proficiency with Python or similar scripting languages.
• Experience using Git, CI/CD, and modern software practices.
• Strong understanding of data governance, metadata, lineage, and data quality.

Responsibilities

• Architect and build enterprise data platform, reporting ecosystem, and analytics infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
• Build and optimize enterprise data warehouses and governed datasets.
• Integrate Salesforce, lending systems, financial platforms, APIs, and third-party data sources.
• Develop executive dashboards, operational reporting, and self-service analytics solutions.
• Translate complex business problems into scalable data solutions and actionable insights.
• Establish enterprise reporting standards, KPI definitions, data governance, and data quality best practices.
• Optimize SQL performance, database architecture, and data reliability.
• Evaluate AI-enabled analytics, predictive modeling, and intelligent automation opportunities.
• Partner with executive leadership to support strategic initiatives and improve decision-making.
• Help define the long-term enterprise data strategy and technology roadmap.
• Mentor future analysts and engineers as the team expands.
