Job summary

Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC seeks a Senior Data Analytics Engineer to partner with business and tech teams to deliver reporting, analytics, and decision-support solutions. You will define requirements, metrics, and data models, and drive scalable analytics capabilities.

You will mentor analytics professionals, lead complex initiatives, and promote self-service analytics adoption while ensuring data quality and governance across functions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements and translating them into reporting, analytics, and data solutions.
• 5+ years of experience in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries and performing data analysis, validation, and troubleshooting.
• 3+ years of experience in designing and supporting analytical data models, semantic models, reporting datasets, and reusable analytics assets.
• 3+ years of experience with enterprise analytics and visualization platforms such as Power BI or Tableau; familiarity with Microsoft Fabric and Azure analytics is preferred.
• 2+ years of experience using Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis and automation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and delivery of reporting, analytics, and data visualization solutions by partnering with business stakeholders to gather requirements.
• Design, develop, and maintain analytical data models and reporting datasets for scalable analytics.
• Act as data and analytics domain lead across initiatives, guiding solution design and ensuring successful delivery.
• Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and day-to-day coordination for team members and contractors.
• Support compliance by maintaining documentation and providing information for audits and regulatory reporting.
