Job summary

SharpAtoms seeks a Lead Data Analyst to join the Data Warehouse team in Woodbridge, NJ. The role focuses on implementing a brand-new policy administration system, requiring P&C and Policy Admin experience, SQL testing, and collaboration with developers and users.

Ideal candidate has 5–8 years of software development and strong data analysis skills, with the ability to lead and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with 5–8 years of software development experience.
• Experience in querying relational databases.
• Experience in data mapping and transformation.
• Knowledge of structured analysis.
• Experience with SDLC methodologies including project planning and estimating.
• Experience with SQL and creating queries for analysis and testing; assist developers with queries.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Strong analytical and technical skills.
• Ability to work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and clarify business requirements (internal and external).
• Provide work effort estimates to Project Managers.
• Develop detailed functional and system specifications using SDLC methodologies.
• Collaborate with Development team across all SDLC phases.
• Develop use cases.
• Support design, testing, and monitoring of changes for compliance-related reporting and discretionary projects.
• Create data and transformation mapping specifications.
• Develop test plans/cases and execute thorough testing.
• Participate in unit, integration, user, and performance testing.
• Manage requirements and testing accounts with business and IT partners.
• Support audits and market conduct exams as needed.
