Specialty Herd Solutions is seeking a Lead Dairy Service Technician to serve as the primary technical expert and on-site leader for system installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting in California and surrounding regions.

The role requires 5+ years of field service experience, strong plumbing, welding, electrical, and mechanical skills, and the ability to coach and develop other technicians while coordinating with teams to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• 5+ years of field service, installation, or technical trade experience.
• Demonstrated expertise in plumbing, welding, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Proven ability to lead projects or teams in field environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead installations of footbath, fly spray, and integrated systems at customer sites.
• Plan and execute complex installs, including plumbing, welding, electrical, and fabrication work.
• Collaborate with builders, contractors, and dairy operations teams to develop facility layouts and installation plans.
• Serve as on-site lead, coordinating work, assigning tasks, and ensuring timelines are met.
• Ensure installations meet quality, safety, and design standards.
• Modify system designs in the field based on site conditions and customer needs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and system performance issues.
• Troubleshoot SmartTank, SmartSight, Unified Controller, and integrated system components.
• Analyze system performance and implement improvements.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement long-term solutions.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians and elevate issues when needed.
