Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries is seeking a Lead Cybersecurity Engineer to support Navy training systems within ITS-SE. You will oversee cybersecurity activities, develop architecture, manage RMF packages, and drive accreditation with government stakeholders.

The role requires DoD IA/RMF experience, a Secret clearance, and hands-on work with ACAS/STIGs/SCAP. You will collaborate across engineering teams to ensure secure, compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• Experience with DoD IA/ RMF policies, standards and tools.
• Knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 Rev. 5 and RMF processes.
• Active Secret clearance and related governance experience.
• Experience with ACAS, STIGs, and SCAP content.
• Ability to coordinate with IPTs and government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee cybersecurity engineering activities for Navy training systems.
• Develop Cyber Defense-in-Depth Architecture diagrams.
• Create and maintain RMF packages and risk mitigation plans.
• Review vulnerability scans and STIG/SCAP content.
• Collaborate between Cyber Security and user teams; support accreditation.
