Overview

Swiss Re is expanding its cyber insurance business in the US and seeks a dynamic leader to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to shape and grow our cyber and technology underwriting practice in North America.

Responsibilities

1. Build and lead the US Cyber and Technology underwriting team through growth stages.
2. Develop and execute a growth strategy for the US cyber and technology portfolio, ensuring profitability.
3. Underwrite a personal portfolio of cyber and technology risks.
4. Stay informed on cyber industry and market developments and assess their impact on the portfolio.
5. Collaborate with global and regional cyber teams to shape underwriting practices.
6. Implement US go-to-market strategies in partnership with sales and risk transfer teams.
7. Develop and maintain a professional network with brokers and clients to support profitable business origination.
8. Represent Swiss Re at industry conferences and events as the US cyber insurance lead.

Qualifications

1. 10+ years of underwriting experience, with at least 5 years in the US cyber and technology insurance market.
2. Strong negotiation skills to ensure profitability.
3. Technical understanding of cyber risks coupled with business acumen.
4. Leadership experience and a collaborative working style.
5. Ability to manage stakeholders across a global organization.
6. Bachelor’s degree required.

Additional Information

This role follows a hybrid work model requiring three days in the office weekly. It is not eligible for relocation assistance or visa sponsorship.

The estimated base salary ranges from $160,000 to $252,000, influenced by factors such as location, experience, and qualifications. Swiss Re considers total compensation, including benefits and incentives.
