Job description

Assigns and supervises the work of custodians and performs custodial duties involving the cleaning and care of buildings. Supervises a small group of custodians.

Responsibilities:
  • Part of the Student Union & Activities Custodial Operations team.
  • This position is an evening position. Weekday and weekend evenings are required.
  • Provide excellent customer service to guests, students, staff, and faculty who visit the Student Union daily.
  • Perform cleaning and vacuuming of carpets following proper procedures and instructions.
  • Clean restrooms, including wiping toilets, sinks, mirrors, and stocking all paper goods, soaps, and sanitizers multiple times per shift.
  • Remove trash from all public areas, including meeting rooms, offices, and restrooms, multiple times throughout the day. Clean and maintain trash cans.
  • Maintain the assigned custodial closet, keeping it stocked and clean, and ensure equipment stored is tidy and functional.
  • Report any repairs or damages, such as clogged sinks, leaking toilets, or malfunctioning equipment, to the Associate Director and the Superintendent.
  • Clean water fountains daily.

Requires three years of experience in building custodial and maintenance work.
