Job summary

Community Bible Church San Antonio is seeking a dedicated Custodian to maintain cleanliness across church facilities and exterior grounds. You will support services and events, coordinate with the Head Custodian for shift‑based tasks, and assist with setup and teardown as needed.

The role requires reliability, basic custodial knowledge, and the ability to work weekends or evenings as needed. The position is full‑time and on site, with a team‑oriented work environment focused on service.

Qualifications

• Must have good English communication (verbal & written).
• Ability to maintain professional relationships with staff, members and guests.
• Follow instructions from Head Custodian and supervisors.
• Knowledge of general custodial, cleanliness, and sanitation processes.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools.
• Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, work independently, multitask in a high‑stress environment.
• Adhere to standard departmental procedures and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Clean all church facilities including halls, classrooms, sanctuary, gym, restrooms, and concession areas.
• Set up rooms for meetings and events and manage tear-downs.
• Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
• Service and restock restrooms; manage trash and recycling.
• Notify managers about major repairs or needs for building systems.
• Requisition cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Head Custodian or Supervisors.
