Responsibilities

• Open Building Each Morning and check doors
• Turn on lights and coordinate with Day-Custodian
• Check drives and sidewalk conditions; ensure building security
• Monitor mechanical operations and alarms; verify HVAC controls
• Inspect air handler units and fire alarm system; keep systems up to date
• Assist with lunch duties: gather milk buckets, trash, dust mop, clean stage
• Supervise custodians: assign duties, schedule coverage, maintain project list
• Participate in Cadre Meetings; inspect custodians' work areas and provide feedback
• Weekly: maintain building; fill salt-brine and check boiler/chiller operations
• Daily checks on heating/AC, exterior doors, lights; report issues
• Respond to security/equipment alarm calls and provide temporary security when needed
• Annual tasks: maintain records, assist with capital planning and budget tracking
• Maintain space for special functions; assist with regular cleaning; order supplies
• Review Heating/Cooling Control System; replace air filters bi-annually
• Prioritize work around Summer/Fall/Spring breaks; communicate via radio
• Assist Principal with capital and expense budgets; prepare for board walks
