Job summary

Join UCLA's Custodial Services to help maintain more than 12.5 million square feet of campus facilities, including labs, vivariums, and patient care areas.

We seek dependable custodians who are service-focused and able to lead small teams, perform inspections, and ensure high-quality cleaning standards. Schedule is 5:30pm-2am, Mon-Fri, with overtime and weekend availability; California driver's license required.

Qualifications

• One year custodial experience (Required).
• Knowledge of floor care machines (stripping machine, waxer/buffer, etc.).
• Knowledge of materials and custodial equipment; ability to operate safely.
• Oral communication to convey clear information (Required).
• Ability to write standard English in reports and orders (Required).
• Working knowledge of custodial cleaning and maintenance (Required).
• Ability to coordinate and lead small teams (Required).
• Ability to correct inaccuracies and address customer concerns (Required).
• Ability to maintain high quality of custodial service (Required).
• Ability to read technical instructions related to equipment (Required).
• Must maintain good attendance and ability to work overtime/weekends (Required).
• Ability to work various shifts (Required).

Responsibilities

• Maintain over 12.5 million square feet of campus facilities.
• Support spaces including labs, vivariums, recreation facilities, patient care areas.
• Lead small teams to complete custodial tasks.
• Inspect and report on workmanship and supply needs.
