Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Custodial Supervisor to oversee custodial staff, maintain cleanliness of office areas, and ensure all interior spaces meet health standards. The role includes supervising daily tasks, coordinating schedules, and ensuring proper use of cleaning equipment and supplies.

Responsibilities also cover cleaning hallways, lobbies, restrooms, and windows, stocking supplies, and coordinating with building management to maintain safe, organized facilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques, and safe handling of cleaning chemicals.
• Skilled in cleaning rooms, bathrooms, furniture, equipment, sweep, mop, dust and arrange room to set standard.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in maintenance of building and related facilities.

Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, this role ensures all interior spaces and common areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained. The position also oversees and evaluates daily work schedules and tasks assigned to Facility Maintenance Custodians.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities include maintaining cleanliness in designated office areas, workspaces, and storage rooms while providing supervision and direction to custodial staff. Under the guidance of the Operations Manager, this role ensures all interior spaces and common areas remain clean, organized, and properly maintained. The position also oversees and evaluates daily work schedules and tasks assigned to Facility Maintenance Custodians.

Duties include operating cleaning equipment such as automatic floor machines, commercial vacuums, wet mops, and large wringers, as well as using the appropriate tools, chemicals, and supplies. Responsibilities involve cleaning rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, stairways, and other work areas to meet health standards; maintaining restroom supplies; sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors; and dusting and polishing furniture, fixtures, and equipment. Additional tasks include special cleaning of induction units, walls, lighting fixtures, and windows (both interior and exterior), moving furniture, and setting up meeting spaces. The role also handles linen removal and exchange, trash removal, emergency spill cleanup, and equipment upkeep, including requesting repairs when necessary.

Minimum Knowledge

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous custodial experience preferred.
• Additional experience/education may be required by contract or assignment.
• Knowledge of cleaning supplies, techniques, and the safe handling of cleaning supplier.
• Skilled in cleaning rooms, bathrooms, furniture, equipment, sweep, mop, dust and arrange room to set standard.
• Ability to perform semi-skilled tasks in the maintenance of building and related facilities.
• Additional knowledge/skills may be required by assignment.

Work Environment

• Ability to perform some heavy lifting.
• Living and working conditions at assignment location could be remote and uncomfortable.
