Position Overview

The Lead Custodian supports the EVS Manager by maintaining high cleanliness standards, leading, training, and motivating the environmental services staff to ensure timely completion of tasks. Responsibilities include prioritizing daily activities, managing supplies, and training staff on Closet Tip lists. Additional housekeeping duties may be assigned as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English
• Strong customer service skills
• Extensive custodial experience in healthcare settings, with knowledge of supplies and equipment
• Flexibility to work in various locations and rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Ability to perform duties of Custodian or Senior Custodian
• Effective working relationships within the team and across the health system

Preferred Skills

• Experience working in multiple locations and rotating shifts
