Job summary

Rahway School District is seeking a full-time employee for a general cleaning and maintenance position under the supervision of school staff. The role requires a Black Seal boiler certificate and a valid New Jersey driver’s license. Responsibilities include maintaining school facilities, assisting students and staff, and ensuring equipment is functional.

Job description

Salary: As per the negotiated agreement, Step 1 $ 42,536

Terms: 12-month position

Position Function

Under the direct supervision of the Principal, Director of Facilities, and Business Manager, performs general cleaning and maintenance in school buildings and grounds; maintains equipment in functional condition; and provides cleaning and custodial assistance to students, teachers, visitors and others as necessary.

Performs related duties and general maintenance work as required.
