Job summary

Tufts Medical Center seeks a full-time Lead CT Tech to join our imaging team in Boston. The role oversees CT procedures, ensures safety, and supports teaching of students and technologists. Hours are 36 per week, Tue–Fri, 7a–4:30p (8a–5:30p possible).

No weekends and limited on-call per department operations. The candidate should have an Associate degree in Radiology, ARRT CT certification, ARRT or NMTCB CT certification, and 5 years CT experience with BLS.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Radiology or related field.
• ARRT radiologic technologist certification.
• CT certification (ARRT) or NMTCB.
• State license eligibility for radiologic technologist.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform CT scans on assigned patients per policy and standards.
• Verify patient and procedure to be performed.
• Provide clear instructions to patients.
• Coordinate care with other departments for patient flow.
• Teach students and support technologists during shifts.
• Ensure proper staffing in rooms and areas.
• Apply correct imaging protocols and scanner parameters for each patient.
• Maintain safety for CT equipment and IV contrast administration.
• Participate in ongoing education and training.
• Perform quality control on equipment and devices.
• Communicate with staff to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain stock and request supplies as needed.
• Keep work areas clean per regulations.
