Tenet Healthcare’s Doctors Medical Center of Modesto seeks a Lead CT Imaging Technologist to supervise daily CT operations and ensure high-quality imaging. The role requires operating CT equipment, training imaging students, and maintaining exam room readiness.

The ideal candidate has CT experience, ARRT CT certification, and a California radiologic license, with possible IV certification. This full-time position reports to the Imaging Director and supports patient education and accreditation

Job Summary

Shift: Days

Shift Type: Full Time

Reporting to the Director of Imaging, the Lead CT Imaging Technologist is a working team leader responsible for radiological care to patients of all ages and takes the lead position for a predestinated shift. They must have working knowledge of conventional Radiology and CT with the ability to take responsibility for the shift performance and quality of studies. The Lead must be able to operate all CT equipment and process studies, and be able to precept Imaging Students during designated shifts. Assures the preparation of exam room(s), equipment, supplies and medications for patient’s procedures and is responsible for patient education. They must have one (1) year experience as a fully qualified CT Technologist at this facility, and IV certified is preferred. ASSIST WITH APPLICATION AND MAINTENANCE OF ACR ACCREDIDATION.

Minimum Experience/Skills

2 years experience in CT, 1 year experience as fully qualified CT Technologist at this facility

License/Certificates/Credentials

Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiological Technology by the State of California, Radiological Health Section, Department of Health., must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT), must obtain California Fluoroscopy permit within six months of hire, in addition to the above core requirements, required to possess an (ARRT) CT license. Must have current BLS Certification.

Physical Demands

Frequent standing/walking, lifts, positions, pushes up to 50 pounds, transfer patients, reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching, manual dexterity and mobility, touch, auditory and visual perception and acuity, adequate vocal pitch and volume, ability to move quickly.

Ability to adjust vision sufficiently to perform duties

Working Conditions

Regularly exposed to the risk of contagious and blood borne diseases, subject to varying and unpredictable situations, exposure to unpleasant elements (accidents, injuries, illness), emergency and crisis situations, subject to irregular hours, increased stress due to multiple calls and inquiries, occasional exposure to radiation hazards, radioactive substances and biohazard material.
