Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Detroit is seeking a Lead CT Technologist to oversee CT imaging operations in the supervisor's absence, mentor team members, and ensure the highest quality patient care and imaging standards.

You will drive scheduling, supply management, and equipment maintenance while coordinating with radiologists and physicians on patient care quality. A strong focus on safety, documentation, and continuous improvement will be essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ARRT registration in Radiography and ARRT CT.
• Minimum 3 years CT Technologist experience.
• Must maintain required CME hours.
• Healthcare Provider BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead division during supervisor absence, ensuring seamless operations and quality.
• Mentor and develop talent among staff and students.
• Manage scheduling, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance reporting.
• Perform advanced CT imaging procedures with precision and collaborate with radiologists.
• Maintain documentation, process scans accurately, and escalate incidents to leadership.
• Support patient scheduling, RIS operations, and film center coordination as needed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices and technologies.
• Ensure supplies are stocked and organized for all procedural demands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead with Excellence: Serve as the division's point person during supervisor absence, ensuring seamless operations and maintaining quality standards across all procedural CT services.
• Mentor & Develop Talent: Train and support new personnel and students, sharing your expertise to build a stronger, more capable team.
• Optimize Operations: Manage scheduling, supply inventory, and equipment maintenance reporting to keep the division running smoothly and efficiently.
• Deliver Clinical Excellence: Perform advanced CT imaging procedures with precision, responding proactively to radiologists and physicians on patient care quality and clinical outcomes.
• Ensure Quality & Safety: Maintain comprehensive documentation, process scans with accuracy, and immediately elevate any incidents, problems, or emergencies to division leadership.
• Support Administrative Functions: Handle patient scheduling, RIS operations, telephone communications, and film center coordination as needed to support the broader imaging team.
• Drive Continuous Improvement: Participate in educational programs, meetings, and professional development to stay current with best practices and emerging technologies in procedural CT imaging.
• Maintain Operational Readiness: Ensure adequate supplies are stocked and properly organized, keeping the division prepared for all procedural demands.

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required
• Must be registered in Radiography with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) and the ARRT advanced registry in CT
• Minimum of 3 years of CT Technologist experience required
• Must maintain required hours of continued medical education
• Must maintain a Healthcare Provider certification (BCLS)
