Job summary
Truist in Charlotte, NC seeks a hands-on enterprise architect and principal software engineer to lead cryptographic, secrets-management, and platform-security initiatives. You will design and implement reference architectures, write production-grade code, and prove patterns in running systems before adoption across the division.
You will couple deep software engineering craft with enterprise-architecture accountability, delivering secure, scalable solutions and shaping the technical direction
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years of professional software development experience.
- Strong knowledge of multiple programming languages, software architecture, and design principles.
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycle, testing, deployment, and security practices.
- Hands-on coding demonstrated in preferred roles.
Responsibilities
- Architect and personally build end-to-end software for cryptographic and security initiatives.
- Own enterprise-architecture vision and translate goals into technical plans.
- Design and integrate cryptographic and secrets-management capabilities into production systems.
- Establish advanced software engineering standards, guardrails, and governance patterns.
- Resolve the hardest technical problems by designing reusable architectures and improving performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to shape domain strategy and roadmaps.
- Provide cross-team technical leadership through code reviews, design sessions, and mentoring.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and build prototypes to inform product direction.
