Job summary

The UAB Division of Community Anesthesia at the Birmingham campus is seeking a CRNA to lead anesthesia services across diverse surgical procedures and diagnostic tests. You will work under the direction of an anesthesiologist and provide high-quality patient care with autonomy in a collaborative team environment.

You will participate in the clinical instruction of nurse anesthesia students and act as a valuable clinical resource while mentoring allied health staff.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Anesthesia Program.
• Two years of related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating treatments and procedures.
• Administers medically directed anesthetics during surgical procedures.
• Leads daily operations, ensures adequate staff coverage, and mentors staff.
• Conducts pre- and post-anesthesia evaluation including informed consent.
• Acts as a clinical resource and participates in employee evaluations.
